Dr. Lee Smith
Dentist and partner of HollowBrook Family Dentistry.
Philosophy:

Lee has been a dentist since 1994 and has owned HollowBrook Family Dentistry
since July 1, 1995, when he purchased the practice from Dr. Al Ernster, who
founded the practice in 1962.
Professional Accomplishments
Lee received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado
Health Sciences Center in Denver in 1994 after earning a Bachelor of Science
degree in Biology from Regis College Denver in 1990.

Ongoing Education
A lifelong learner with a powerful curiosity, Lee continually studies new
developments in dentistry, technology and patient care with members of these
two groups:
RAZA Study Club. Colorado dentists who are part of this network gather regularly
to explore the latest developments in dental topics and practices.
Seattle Study Club. This is an elite group of 200 top dental specialists from the United States, Canada and Australia who are committed to professional excellence meet and communicate by phone and the web to compare notes on recent developments and promote the club’s goal of: “Cultivating Excellence in Comprehensive Dentistry.”
He attends the Academy of Operative Dentistry and the Academy of Restorative
Dentistry. Both annual seminars are held in Chicago.

Lee was born and raised in Colorado Springs and says he will never leave.
Family
Lee has been married since 1990. The family has two boys and two girls.
Community Life
Lee attended Divine Redeemer Church and graduated from St. Mary’s High School.
The family belongs to Divine Redeemer Parish.

Dr. Eric Erlander
Dentist and Partner of HollowBrook Family Dentistry
Philosophy: “Compassionate dentistry and benefiting our patients

Eric has been a dentist since 2003 and joined HollowBrook Family Dentistry
in the same year.
Professional Accomplishments
In 1996, Eric graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma Washington
with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
He then graduated from the University of Colorado’s School of Dentistry in Denver in 2003 after earning a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry.
After graduation from CU he received recognition for Outstanding Operative
and Restorative Dentistry from the Academy of Operative Dentistry in 2003.

Eric pursues extensive continuing education training in implant dentistry
and orthodontics. His passion for learning, current technology and benefiting
his patients motivates him to be involved in state of the art equipment
and technique in the art of dentistry. Eric is also a member of RAZA Study

network that gather regularly to explore the latest developments in dental

Eric enjoys beautiful Colorado by skiing, snowboarding, camping, biking,
hiking and sculpting.
Glenda
Registered Dental Hygienist
Glenda has been a dental professional since 1982. She joined HollowBrook
Family Dentistry in 1990.
Professional Background
Glenda received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Minnesota
in Minneapolis in 1982. She received an Associate in Arts degree from Normandale
College located in Minneapolis in 1980.
From 1985 to 1989 Glenda taught Dental Practice Management at Oregon Health
Sciences University in Portland.
Family
In 1982 Glenda married Brent Gehler, an Optometrist in Colorado Springs.
The family has three children.
Community Life
Glenda teaches
yoga and group exercise at the Downtown YMCA. She is certified in Cardio
Strength Training, Pilates and Step through the American Council on Exercise.
Rest and Relaxation
She enjoys running, skiing and hiking with her family.
Jamie
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jamie has been a dental professional since 1990. She joined HollowBrook
Family Dentistry in 1999.

Jamie served as Vice President of the Southeastern Colorado Dental Hygiene
Association and Past President of the Southeastern Colorado Dental Hygiene
Association.
Family
Jamie was married in 1987. She has a son and a daughter.
Rest and Relaxation
Jamie enjoys camping, motocross, trail riding, hanging out at her parent’s
farm, reading, movies with the family and sharing ice cream with her son
and daughter.
April
Registered Dental Hygienist.
April joined HollowBrook Family Dentistry in 1998.

April served as President of the Southeastern Colorado Dental Hygiene Society. She served as a Delegate and Student Representative to the Colorado Dental Hygiene Association.

April has been married since 1992 and the family has one son.

The Grishams are active in their church, and they enjoy hiking and sharing
family time.

Josie
Dental Assistant
Josie joined HollowBrook Family Dentistry in 1996.

Josie received an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Expanded Functions
from Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs in 1995.

Josie was married in 1990. She and her husband have two boys.
Rest and Relaxation
Josie is a runner who enjoys running trails, in Colorado and elsewhere. She
also enjoys spending time with family and watching movies. Her favorite
movie is: Titanic.

Judy has been a dental professional since 2004. She joined HollowBrook Family
Dentistry in 2005.

Dr. David Baer
Oral dentist
David
has been a Doctor of Oral Dental Surgery since 2007 and joined HollowBrook
in 2009.
Professional Background
David graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry in 2007.
He taught and conducted both an internship and a fellowship at Ohio State
University.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy
of Implant Dentistry, the Colorado Dental Association and other professional
groups. He also contributed to the book, The Sinus Bone Graft, and has written
articles for professional journals.
Other Interests
David is an avid outdoorsman who can be found on a snowboard, mountain bike
or wakeboard. He has also been involved in making films focusing on comedy
and skiing.
He is also an Eagle Scout.
